The Plumbing and Electrical - Feb 18 - 28

The Plumbing and Electrical

Now that all of the framing, windows, and roof are done, Ryan cleaned up all of the scrap wood and nails and we've been able to get easy access to the home. I have to say we're getting really excited, as the house seems really perfect for us. The layout is fantastic since it's not boxy and has a few columns and arched doorways. It also has lots of great windows. It was a bit of a risk ordering this home without a model to look at first, as the only current Willowsford model home is the Somerset View model. We're really glad we selected the Winterbrook, even though it's a little smaller than the Somerset View. The family room/kitchen/morning room combination is very non-boxy. Plus the additional bedrooms are on the opposite side of the house as the master, and the basement layout is terrific for a home with lots of play things - pool table, ping pong, extra tv room, etc. We also really like the upstairs bonus room, which offers more character, an extra bedroom, bathroom, and a huge unfinished storage area.

So, the plumbing appears to be installed well. The electrical contractor met with us to cover the specialty items we ordered, such as tv conduits, pendant light connections, and additional power connections. We got an additional plug behind the cabinets to allow for above and/or below cabinet lighting that we would install ourselves. We also had a couple extra recessed lights installed over the fireplace.

Here's some of the latest pics. Not too much change from before.
